Rental Agreement

By purchasing from STL Rent A Box, I accept the terms and conditions of the rental agreement below:

1. The Renter grants STL Rent A Box the right to enter the property at the said address for the delivery and the pick-up address to deliver and pick-up equipment at the specified time. Renter shall only release the equipment to a STL Rent A Box employee.

2. The Renter agrees to keep the equipment in his/her custody and not to sublease, rent, or sell the equipment. Equipment will remain in the possession of the Renter but are the property of STL Rent A Box.

3. Renter acknowledges that he/she has care, custody, and control of the STL Rent A Boxes while the boxes are at the Renter’s location. Renter accepts responsibility for all loss or damage to the STL Rent A Boxes. If the STL Rent A Boxes are damaged or lost while in the Renters possession the Renter will be obligated to pay the full retail value of the box. Retail value of the boxes are $21.99 each.

4. Renter acknowledges that he/she has care, custody, and control of the STL Rent A Boxes and does not apply any label or sticker that is not able to be removed easily without using heat or chemicals. In addition, no permanent markings on any area of the box is acceptable.  If any rented box is marked permanently while in the Renters possession the Renter will be obligated to pay the full retail value of the box. Retail value of the boxes are $21.99 each. If the marking or labels can be removed an additional cost of $1 per marking/label due to extra cleaning time involved.

5. Renter acknowledges that he/she has care, custody, and control of the STL Rent A Box 4 wheel dolly while the 4 wheel dolly is at the Renter’s location. Renter accepts responsibility for all loss or damage to the 4 wheel dolly. If the 4 wheel dolly is damaged or lost while in the Renters possession the Renter will be obligated to pay the full retail value of the 4 wheel dolly. Retail value of the 4 wheel dolly’s are $75.00 each.

6. If applicable, renter acknowledges that he/she has care, custody, and control of the STL Rent A Box 2 wheel dolly while the 2 wheel dolly is at the customer’s location. Renter accepts responsibility for all loss or damage to the 2 wheel dolly. If the 2 wheel dolly is damaged or lost while in the Renters possession the Renter will be obligated to pay the full retail value of the 2 wheel dolly. Retail value of the 2 wheel dolly’s are $50.00 each.

7. Renter acknowledges that he/she has sole responsibility to schedule and be present at appointments for pick-up and delivery of the STL Rent A Boxes. If the Renter does not give 24 hour notice to reschedule appointments there may be an additional cancellation fee or delivery fee applied in the amount of $25.00.

8. In the event that there is no one available to accept the delivery at the agreed upon time, there will be a $25.00 fee to re-deliver the order. In the event the equipment is not ready for pick-up at the agreed upon time, then a $25.00 late fee shall be automatically imposed per day until the equipment is returned to STL Rent A Box.

9. Renter acknowledges the rental terms are for the initial rental period based on the amount rented and paid in full prior to delivery. Any week after the initial rental period, renter will be charged $.75/box or dolly/week at end of rental period.

10. STL Rent A Box will not under any circumstance share any Renter’s personal information with any other party at any time. As per the Protection of Personal Information Act, STL Rent A Box will ensure that all personal Renter information is kept safe and not accessible to any third party.

11. Indemnification. I agree to indemnify and hold you, your officers, agents, and employees harmless from and against all liabilities, claims, actions, proceedings, damages, losses, cost and expense, including attorneys fees, for all injuries or death of any person or damage to any property occurring or arising from or connected with directly or indirectly, my possession, use and return of any of the product(s). The Renter shall be in charge of the product(s) operation, and is fully responsible for its operation as well as the return of the product(s) in good working orders. STL Rent A Box and its officers, employees and agents are not responsible for injury occurring to the Renter or to any other persons using the product(s), and the Renter further agrees to hold STL Rent A Box and its officers, employees and agents harmless against any injury or property claims. The Renter shall indemnify STL Rent A Box and its officers, employees and agents from/against any cost incurred due to claims from anyone and for attorney’s fees and related costs involving the use and return of the product(s), should any legal action become necessary.

12. STL Rent A Box warrants that the product(s) rented under this Rental Agreement will be in good working order on the effective date of the Rental Agreement. Product(s) supplied and maintained subject to this warranty. STL Rent A Box obligation under this Rental Agreement is limited to repairs or replacement of the product(s) when the Renter determines that it does not conform to this warranty.

13. Renter acknowledges that their credit card will be kept on file for the duration of the Rental Agreement. Renter acknowledges and authorizes STL Rent A Box to charge any amount associated with the above stated terms and conditions.
